The Society of Master Saddlers National Saddlery Competition

We are very proud to announce that both Issi Russell and Emily White have won their classes in the most recent prestigious National 'Master and Apprentice' competition

Emily entered the President's Choice Waistbelt class, for which she made a dog walker's belt in conker leather, complete with personalised collar, treat box, 'poo' bags and lead all attached. Emily was competing against many of the top saddlers in the country. Tthis class is judged as much on innovation as on workmanship

Issi entered the Open Bridle class, specification being a bridle suitable for Cross Country. She made her entry out of conker leather and with the IR padded curved headpiece. Issi also recieved the Alf Batchelor Trophy for the Best Bridle Entry out of the competition
