The Society of Master Saddlers, formed in 1966 to be a Trade Association aiming to safeguard the quality of work, training and qualifications of those Saddlers who make and repair saddles, bridles, harness and leatherowork. The Worshipful Company of Saddlers, the saddlery livery company who provide the Millenium Apprenticeship and many bursaries, prizes and awards for apprentices. The Company hold an annual Saddlery Competition in London which is a much looked forward to event in a saddler's diary.
